Engine started and then it wouldn't
I relied upon the advice and comments from many of you last fall after I installed the rebuilt Riley Two Port Model A engine in my 1931 CC Pickup after it would not start a day after initally running. After removing the OHV head, having a machine shop port and polish the valve area, replace the head gasket with a new composit gasket from a manufacturer in the northwest and replacing the standard head studs with new ARP studs and nuts, the engine raored to life this past weekend and left the garage 18 months after entering to reveive the transplant. I could not have done this without you all and your advice. Thanks. Dave
P.S. The event was so the dog wanted to ride along. |

Who did you get your composite gasket from. I have an original two port and am looking for a gasket. Thanks Dave. |
