Default Help in IDing my engine

Howdy,
I bought a 1930 Coupe last summer that has been in Maine for a long time.
Am curious if the engine could be orig to the car.
It’s serial is: A3514922 & Star symbol.
The engine was rebuilt about 10 yrs ago.
TIA
Chris

Thanks for this info!
What’s the “star” mean?

There is always a star at the beginning and end of all model A serial numbers. No special meaning that I have ever heard of.

The star just signifies the beginning and the end of the serial number.

The star keeps someone from easily adding a digit to change the number.

Does your car have the round speedometer?
