Default 1933 Throttle & Dash Grommets

What color were they originally? Brown or Black from the factory? I've seen both colors offered by suppliers.

Brown for passenger cars and black for commercial vehicles and trucks.

According to the '34 chassis parts catalogue, all of the V8s had brown grommets, which are listed as 'red', including commercial vehicles and trucks, and only later '33 and '34 V8 commercial vehicles had other than 'red', namely 'gray'. If accurate, and I have my doubts, that suggests that none of the V8s had black grommets. (The fours necessarily continued to use the chrome-plated escutcheons like all '32s.)

My doubts arise from the running change in the paint color used on '33 standard body types from interior gray (the '32 standard interior color, more brown than gray) to black. When that change occurred, it is likely that the color of the grommets changed also, at least in terms of common sense.
