Seat Belts - 1935
I want to install rear and front seat belts in my 1935 Phaeton, even though I have to drill thru my new Bradley floors…. I have read that spacing between a set of belt straps should be approx 17”.
Starting in the rear of the Phaeton the best I can get is a spacing of approx 10”…. I haven’t looked into the front set up or spacing yet and wonder if anyone can provide any front and rear mounting guidance / thoughts / pictures. Jim

Re: Seat Belts - 1935
I have put several sets of belts in 35-41 Fords and the best way I have found it to put one anchor point as close to the floor tunnel as possible and the other one as close to the outer edge of the floor pans as possible. Be sure to use big washers for strength and also put some black silicone gasket maker between the floor and the washer for weather proofing.

Re: Seat Belts - 1935
Thanks Alan,
Just to clarify...in the rear seat in my case, 'the outer edge of the floor pan' would be going thru the frame..is that what you recall?? Jim

I don't think you ever want the set belts attached to the frame.

I will call Juliano's but I suspect they will leave it up to me cause of 'legal liability' issues....JMO Jim
