41 Ford Heater Query
i want to hook up the heater in my 41. At present, the heater pipes protrude from the firewall without hoses.
Where does the heater core draw water from the engine? I thought it was from around the water pumps, but can't see where this might be. All assistance greatly appreciated. |

Re: 41 Ford Heater Query
Most likely like 39 & 40. Punch a hole lower pass radiator hose. Install heater hose fitting (sold at most classic ford vendors) upper heater hose goes into top of pass head.

Re: 41 Ford Heater Query
I have attached the installation instructions for the earlier model but it shows the correct location for the engine connections on page 6. Hope this helps? Cheers, meric42

Re: 41 Ford Heater Query
Do you know if the heater core is still good? Most were disconnected because of a leaky core, which can really make a mess.

Re: 41 Ford Heater Query
The pic of the valve which screws into the passenger side head is not correct but is what is sold I had to modify it to be correct see pic
The valve in the center is the one I made by cutting off the ends of the new valve The valve in the center is the final product |

Re: 41 Ford Heater Query
One more thing as for tapping into the lower radiator hose I took a 3 inch piece of tubing welded a small nipple threaded so I could also install a valve on both sides of the heater core
