Default 41 Ford Heater Query

i want to hook up the heater in my 41. At present, the heater pipes protrude from the firewall without hoses.

Where does the heater core draw water from the engine? I thought it was from around the water pumps, but can't see where this might be.

All assistance greatly appreciated.

Most likely like 39 & 40. Punch a hole lower pass radiator hose. Install heater hose fitting (sold at most classic ford vendors) upper heater hose goes into top of pass head.

I have attached the installation instructions for the earlier model but it shows the correct location for the engine connections on page 6. Hope this helps? Cheers, meric42

Do you know if the heater core is still good? Most were disconnected because of a leaky core, which can really make a mess.

Off the lower radiator hose (passenger side) to the heater core and the 2nd heater hose into the passenger side head where there's also a heater tap. I can get some photos for you if it makes it easier.

Below is the connection needed for that lower radiator hose.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have the heater core pressure tested before I go much further. Then on to check the motor.

The pic of the valve which screws into the passenger side head is not correct but is what is sold I had to modify it to be correct see pic
The valve in the center is the one I made by cutting off the ends of the new valve

The valve in the center is the final product

One more thing as for tapping into the lower radiator hose I took a 3 inch piece of tubing welded a small nipple threaded so I could also install a valve on both sides of the heater core
