seat height
Has anyone found a way to lower the seat height in a coupe? I'm 5'10" only but find myself with a sore neck trying to watch traffic lights etc. Jim

Check your favorite Vendor for a "Traffic Light Finder"

Re: seat height
I'm 6'2" with a '28 Coupe and have the same problem; the cheapy suction-cup prism from Bratton is a big help, but I would like to try one of those nice "Guide" prisms form the '50s...
Moving/lowering the seat in a coupe involves cutting down the seat riser and / or the backrest mountings; it's not easy. You might try removing the seat bench, and replacing it with a couple boards and phone books, to see if/how much lowering the bench would help... before you get into extensive mods... |

Re: seat height
You might have to do like a lot of the hot rodders do and make up a new seat bottom and back using plywood for the bases and layered foam to build up the cushions. Upholsterers use dense foam for lower layers then softer and softer layers toward the top then shape the foam & put the upholstery covers on. Many don't use springs at all. They drill holes in the bases so they can breath through.
Using a new set of cushions will allow you to keep your old set original. Kerby |

Re: seat height
Wire a couple of coils in the seat together.
