Default '29 engine flush

I want to flush my engine to remove any crud prior to installing a new radiator. I didn't want to remove the engine. I wasn't planning on taking the head off. Question..... Does phosphoric acid have any effect on gaskets/rubber/neoprene? Helpful comments welcome. Thanks. Jim

I flushed my supposedly clean radiator the other day with 2 gallons of distilled white vinegar and 1 gallon of water. Ran the engine for 15 minutes, let it cool, then drained radiator using a funnel and 3 gallon sized water jugs. All three jugs were filled with a dark root beer colored dirty water!
I then added 3 more gallons of clean water and continued the flushing process until the radiator water was clear.
