Az,
Do the judging standards REALLY have guidelines for car names???? If so, that's UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I thought we lived in AMERICA
If "VERMIN" was a high points car, I think I should get EXTRA points for his NOVEL name! Bill W.

I think it’s just huMAN nature to name inanimate objects, to humanize them in some way. Historically we have named our horses, weapons, and ships ect…. It’s just what we do, and let’s face it, we usually would rather be accompanied by a beautiful lady than a gruff old guy any day! lol

Hmm..
Have a Tudor that had weak brakes on our first tour.. My Aunt said 'Woah Nellie" from the back seat as we approached a quick stop.. Nellie is now the Tudors name

My Special Coupe which has run on e85 alcho-gas as an experiment is named after my Great Aunt Molly as she , who was a very classy lady and was also fueled by alcohol.

My Deluxe Coupe, is named after the previous owner, who was named Henry, so she is named Henrietta in his honor.

Yes! There's a whole bunch of points deducted if you name a "mail" truck with a female name.

I named my 1930 Tudor "Flapper" after a barmaid I knew in a former life.

My wife is an elementary school teacher. One year she got the bug (for me) to build a computer network in her classroom for the kids to use. So I built a 4-computer network, and named all the computers after previous girlfriends. It was quite a while before she found out where the names came from.

<=== Meet Thudpucker.

It's name is from my first drive; "thud" is the sound the brake pedal makes as it crashes into the floor board-"pucker" is how my posterior anatomy re-acted!

I had never named one of my cars before my current Victoria project. I call it Humpty Dumpty. You know the kid's story "all the King's horses and all of the King's men couldn't put Humpty back together again" or something like that.

this one here is cowboy its a he because its a AA truck the name came to me because when he was delivered to me from iowa on the back of a three car trailer that looked like a curved bridge it had a mini van in front, a muscle car in the middle. and in the back was my truck , he looked like an old cowboy coming off the range .... so there it is. my 2 1/2 year old son calls him model A cowboy

My sedan's name is Josephine...but it's named after a man. Joe York (founder of the Fort Worth club) had previously owned the car... three times (long story).... so i thought it should be named after him, and since Joe is kind of a manly name, I came up with Josephine.

Every one calls my coupe THEOLA well under that engraving I have in small letters THE OL A. Thats what my family calls it. Was at the Boca Concourse D Elegance a month ago and a family from Indiana were all exvited about Theola, Taking pictures and all. Asked what all the fuss was about . They said their Grandmother was named Theola. Well I made someone happy. Tony

I wonder if it matters if the Model A owner is a lady?
Anyway, my 30 Coupe is Black Betty and my 30 Town Sedan is Sophia. The 1931 Deluxe Tudor I had was named Ethel after the mother of the gentleman I bought it from.

I've only had the '28 Tudor for just over a month and not enough driving time to give it a name.

Any suggestions?
