Re: My New Project! CCPU
Great to see ya back Jake.
Check my album out, it may give you some ideas on what to drop in the pickup bed to go to your swaps in.... I built this since you were here last. |

Re: My New Project! CCPU
Well, I have to say I'm a little embarassed. I just realized how long it has been since I posted anything here. I can't believe it has been four years since I started this build. Where has the time gone??? To make a long story short, I got really frustrated with this project and didn't touch it for probably a year and focused on some other projects. I finally built my motivation back up and am ready to finish this thing. Just about ready to finish up the body work and prep for paint. I'm also working on putting the engine back together. I did all my own babbitt pouring and line boring. Here are a few pics to get started back up again. I promise to post more soon.

Re: My New Project! CCPU
Great project, keep that windshield visor, mine is non stock but makes my truck more interesting, the two holes with the clincher nuts on the driver side post are for the mirror bracket. If you can't find one a vendor at the Hellertown A show reproduced them, one of the Barners would be able to put you in contact with him.

Jake - that's a great project! Thanks for posting all the pictures and the stories - it's fun to watch that truck come together.

Re: My New Project! CCPU
I have always thought it a shame to cover up a well done chassis. That truck is going to be sharp.

Re: My New Project! CCPU
I'm in Valparaiso, not too far away, so when you get tired of this project you can drop it off at my house!! Just kidding. Enjoy. Looks to be in good shape.

I set the engine in the chassis today. Starting to look a little bit like a Model A!
