I would call Steve at Berts in Denver- they might want it all.

I too have been in your situation where I purchased several large collections over the years. The issue I had is usually there will be several item that bring enough $$ to clear you on your purchase price of the collection, ...and then you hopefully sell more of the more popular small stuff quickly to get you close on all your travel expenses going to retrieve it. After that, you find yourself needing to unload it and store it somewhere, then you must inventory, then invest time to reload it and haul everything to a swap meet --or take the time to photograph & list it on eBay, AND after all of this you find it becomes a near break-even financial proposition if you place any time value on your time. I will tell you the first or second collection is lots of fun, and then after a couple I quickly realized it is a bunch of work. I wish you much fun & success!!

I'm quite sure that Brent is right, it's difficult to make money.

However, the motivation and pride should be in preserving the parts for the future, and see them going to someone who needs them, and might make a nice car out of them.

If you belong to a local Model A club or know of one nearby I'm sure you would have all the help you need in transporting and sorting this assortment of treasures! Stashes of parts like this are few and far between. Please don't let it go to the scrap yard.

If you were closer to WNC, I'd be there with my truck & a BIG trailer.......

if you don't want to be bothered with it, there certainly is a MARC or MAFCA or FordBarn member close to where it is located that will pay you a reasonable price for the remaining stash.

I would rent a large u-haul truck or 2 that looks like all the parts would fit in. And maybe you could rent it one way, which would cut down on expense and also find a buddy that would help do the driving. Also nice FIND. GOOD LUCK.

Sell tickets to entry: $500 for anything a guy can carry out in one minute. $250 for anything a guy can carry out in five minutes. $100 for anything a guy can carry out in ten minutes. Must be carried by one person or one person with a helper, not hauled. Have riot police standing by.

Whatever you do, don't scrap it. I can guarantee you'll regret it down the line.

Seems to be alot of stuff left in Indiana. The Panel Delivery doors I posted pic's of a couple of weeks ago are there also. I thought the guy was bringing them here for me to sell for him, but he wanted me to sell something I had never laid my eyes on and al he sent were small pic's.

Nice haul of parts. There is money to be made if you did not overpay. I have had decent luck buying large lots of parts and selling a piece at a time. Time consuming, but profitable if you don't have to spend alot of time researching every part. Most of it looks easy to ID. Rod

I'm drooling all over myself!! DON'T junk anything yet ,like someone else said get some local A'ers to give you a hand bringing it home and going through it. I'm in nor/cal and thinking of taking a long ride to help. Was it from a collector ? I'd buy that round speedo dash for my project. Looks like a flathead crankshaft in one picture. A few non model A parts - they'll sell too. You fell into a gold mine! Lucky #&*%@^& Good luck Gary

I have had lots of advice and interest and I thank everyone for that! Because of the overwhelming input from Ford Barn guys, I have decided NOT to scrap anything until I get it all home and have some others help me sort. The latest plan is for me and a younger friend to make a trip back to the stash this Wednesday and try to get it all loaded this time. He has a truck and a large trailer and I have my truck and trailer. He is helping me move it all just for some parts that he needs and that is a good deal for me. Eventually it will all be for sale after I make sure the roadster and the sedan have the correct parts with the respective vehicles. Thanks again to all the well-wishers and Model A lovers for the good advice. I am including some pics of the sedan that my wife had on her phone.

Good luck with it. If all of us who have offered to help could be there with you, we would make short work of it. The real issue is where to store it when you get home. If your wife was taking some pictures, it seems like she is a willing participant. That is very important.

My wife is the greatest and a very willing participant, plus she actually likes old cars. I am very blessed to have her be my partner in life...which includes junk! Ha.

Where is this goldmine located? If it's four hours from you it might be close to someone who would buy it all from you.
