Talking Updated report on rootlieb running boards

Good News on the running board project!!!
I am told that the equipment for doing the rubber on the 31 running boards has been moved to a new vendor!
This is a huge step towards our success of getting it back into production.
Thru our efforts we have found a new vendor to do the rubber vulcanizing onto the metal.
no time frame established yet but this is encouraging!
I will keep you informed as we move along and I want to thank everyone for your patience, Please hang in there a little longer..........

Please take my name off the list. I'm building a budget tour car and am using runningboards I bought from Brattons. They aren't as correct as rootlibs but I don't plan to spend much time looking at the bottoms. They're also way less expensive.

Hi Glenn,
Can you give me yor last name so I can remove you from the list?

Peter, you are on the list for one set of boards,
Thanks to both of you

Thanks Jeff,
I think we will have a few cancellations before it is over but overall we should be OK
Still Close to 160 on the list and I have another add on today. Remember I am just putting the list together, soon we should have price established and we can then decide who wants to send a check to Rootlieb. I will not handle the money so I do not confuse the situation. When ready I will tell you the price and you will send a check directly to Rootlieb and then the production will begin.
DO NOT SEND ANYTHING UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM ME!
Thanks again for waiting and being patient,
Ken

Ken, it is folks like you that make this such a great hobby. You saw a need and took up the challenge and it looks like some more quality parts will be added to the hobby. My hat is off to you.

Thanks Ken, there are quite a few parts I need for the late 31 Roadster -- I can drive it without top and bows but not running boards -- no real hurry but I have to have it on the road by summer 2012. Regards, E LaBrash
