Default Lufthansa-Klassik-Days Hattersheim 2011

Lufthansa-Klassik-Days turned out to be a meeting of the "Barners of Europe".
"Brad in Germany" and Family and their superb 1931 (on right side) and
our 1929 (left) met amongst lot of other great cars and bikes.
Had a nice meet and talk there .

Finding 3 (original) "A" on one meeting is somewhat rare.
Hubert Busch and his car (www.Ford-A.de)
was arround as well.

I like the wheel color on this combination.

Just water ....
No leaking at all. its just marking its territory

My car aint leaking there - no water nor oil left

btw
driving an "A" is as extreme expensive over here;
Payment includes some demolition of the environment.

Partial some cars you might have seen.
In the middle a nice Mercedes 170SV.

Edit
Clever thing:
The Truck is way to low, to see the leaking

My "leakless" water pump was leaking!

Here are some more photos from the event. Note the repro first Benz car and Porsche tractor! ....and the windshield view of the road on the way home through the woods.

Fordially,
Brad in Germany

Christoph

I enjoyed the picture of the Mercedes 170SV. I had a 1950 170S (black) when I was stationed in Pirmasens in '58/'59. I paid $150 for it and felt I got my moneys worth. Friends and I drove it all over southern Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. I sold it for $100 when I left.

Hi again

Find more pics of the event here
http://www.pixum.de/viewalbum/id/4956844
Passwort: "Lufthansa"

Hi Brad
Good that we met. Would have loved to do a Tour together.
Lets meet again before you leave.

Did your wife join the Tombola?

The Benz-Patent-Motorwagen ist a win in the actual Tombola
of "Lebenshilfe-Gießen"
BTW The Original car is lost and there are just some Replicas
The first to own a Replica wasnt Daimler Benz but
Fritz Hochhut in Frankfurt who was a nice collector
Luckily his collection survived:
http://www.hochhut-museum.de/museum/museum_01.html
I love this collection.

Hi Joop
Thank you
Im looking foreward to meeting you again.
You had a real close look on the pics
I would not have been there without our son Peter .

It was his first time driving the Tudor and i brought my crutch
to hurt Peter in case he would have hurt the car ...

I got to confess that he did perfect

Hi Robert
Seems you have nice memories about your stay over here.
I love the SV170, but they are far to expensive for me....
If you know some more of them in the 100-Dollar-Range,
ill take all of them

Best regards
Christoph
