I would have thought the mountain wagon would be the centrepiece. Anyways I think SSsssteamer wins this game hands down. Stanleys, Fords, and a cornbinder, what a great combination.
I don't see the Stanley with the California top listed?

I owned a 62 Lark with 13,000 miles on it. I felt so guilty every time I drove it that I had to sell it ...

That sure does pose a problem. When you have a car that nice and with such low mileage, what's a person to do? I love to see beautiful examples like your Lark.

Thanks, Tom.

Personally, I couldn't treat it like a museum piece. I have to drive my cars. I finally let the next owner worry about preserving it for someone else.

I was the second owner of this 60,000 mile Impala...

This 63 GT Hawk had just over 100,000 miles when I bought it. Relatively rare 4 speed car...

Look back at #40 and #125. Corvairs and Studebakers have always been my favorites, and Dick sure owned two of the cleanest, and best ones I've ever seen. Corvairs had the same full size bucket seats as used in the Impala, and they are a very comfortable car to ride in, but the rear seat is mostly for little kids.

When I was looking to buy my first antique car I looked at some beautiful Model A's for $200 to $800, but thought they were too common, and I wanted something more rare. So in 1974 I wound up buying a restored 1929 Chevy Coach for $2000. Drained my life savings for one car, but it was such a thrill to finally own an antique car. I know I have more projects than I can finish, and I wanted another Studebaker already done and ready to drive. I got lucky 3 years ago when I found this 1950 Champion just 5 miles away on Craigslist. My dad bought a new 1950 Champion, and that's the first car I can remember riding in.

What finally got me into buying a Model A was when I was at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds about 1990 and heard the most beautiful sound of a car chugging through the race track tunnel and up the incline. I turned around to see what was making such a beautiful sound, and found it was a Model A. That was it, I had to have one.

Here is the 1900 Mobile Steam Carriage that lives in the garage with the Vicky. It is almost small enough to strap on the back of Pat's Stanley Mountain Wagon. Like all steamers, its agile and a hoot to run.
Cheers,
geary

Here are a couple we have now, MB 560 SL (My garage looks a lot like Todd's I think - with the A and the SL sharing space in the main garage), T speedster project and one now gone, our '39 Packard 120 sedan.

Lots of cool cars on this thread.

Added a better shot of the SL, this out on 20 in rural MA - hope to recreate this pic with the A next season!
