Hi James,

Thank's for taking the time to explain the 5 vs. 4 1/2 "Qt." oil question.. I can see how the pump will create a "suction"..

Also I can see why Ford went to the larger drain "Pipe" latter. I knew there had to be a explanation as to "Why" the leaking..

Way back, before I ever heard about the 4 1/2 qt refill. I was thinking of somehow fitting a tube over the end of the rear main return "Tube" and getting it close to the oil pump "intake".

But, with the dipper tray in the way it would be hard to do. I was thinking with that set-up the pump would really create a "Suction"...

But, if the lower oil level will do the same thing why bother ?. I wounder if Ford ever knew about what your talking about ?

Anyway thank's again,,,
