Smile Message for Jim Brand-carb problem

Jim,
The probelm I have is indeed with a carburetor rebuilt by another. I put the carb. on my truck, but it would only sputter and try to fire, but would not start. I have not disassmebled the unit yet, as I was trying to learn what the problem might be. The fuel bowl is full of gas, as I took just the bottom loose. Fuel is flowing into the carb but it is not firing.
My suspicion is the comp. jet is blocked, or the opening at the botrtom of the GAV is blocked. I was hoping the guys with the knowledge on Ford Barn would offer a pointed answer.
Thanks for the great pin stripe job!! Took second place at the AACA show at the Henry Ford Musuem in Sept.

Bob
