Default Axle Identification

Hi guys, my new 1938 Coupé finally arrived in Germany!

Can anyone identify my axle in my picture?

Looks like an 8" Ford to me. Early Mustang,Maverick,Fairlane, etc. Resembles a 9" but the bolt pattern on the drop-out center section is more oval shaped.

With the straight axle tubes and the two dimples, I would say its a 58/59 9". To tell if 9" the bottom bolt of the drop out can not be taken off with a socket. 8" and socket will go on all bolts. But I don't recall any 8" having straight axle tubes, most neck down at the U bolts.

If possible post a photo of the other side that faces towards the front of the car.
Will the bottom of the U-bolts clear the scrub line?

Looks narrow and the maverick being at 56.5 inches was the go to rear for a lot of hot rods. With the width measurement there are charts you can tell what it came out of and what year it is.
