Default Engine Builder Stan Vermiel

Is anyone familiar with Stan Vermiel in California and the quality of his work?

I've heard good things about him over on the Model A side. I know he has been rebuilding the 4-bangers for a long time. I have no idea whether he overhauls the V8s or not.

Stan is an old time machinist and just the guy you want to rebuild a motor. He just got done doing a Model B motor with an overhead conversion that is going in a 1930 sprint car.

There is one on line listing for Vermeil's Vintage Engines (530) 265-8766. I can't tell you if it's a good number or not but that's all I could find.
