'40 coupe trunk lock cylinder
How do you get the lock cylinder out of a '40 coupe trunk handle ? I have the handle off. They key works most of the time, but I am sure the tumblers are worn out. Thank you Fordbarners.

Re: '40 coupe trunk lock cylinder
If I remember correctly, you turn the key about 1/4 of a turn, then
take a small piece of wire, and push down on the small pin on the front/top of the lock assembly, then pull out the lock cylinder. .

Lanny is correct. You need the key in the lock to turn it so you can release it by pressing in the hole with something the will fit through it. I usually use a piece of gas or TIG welding rod small enough to fit.
