gas tank valve

I got this valve from a 1930 AA from Alpena Mich. I have never seen one like this. It has two gas out lets.
Could it be for a gas heater?

i think it may be to run an auxiliary motor....

That is possible there are big quarry's there. It might have been from one of them.

maybe it's for dual carbs
