Christoph, you may want to "rethink" the rubber ball idea. They say the rubber ball will wear out quickly and you will have a loose ball. But if you watch it over a period of time, it may work just fine. I converted mine back to not use the rubber ball. So don't know about the springs. Maybe someone else may have an answer on that.

Im grown old - I dont need distructions anymore
I turn arround and forgot what i was going to do
It happened some time ago ,that i forgot the crank after
doing adjustments... I found out 2 miles later when it went
with a big bang. New cranks from vendors are black (not
chrome anymore) and the paint goes together with
the sticker which says "Made in Korea".

Rubber ball is soaked with oil and ugly....
Dont like that at all
Will find out about - no need to rush things.

Found some more trouble today
Alu-fan was somewhat loose which caused noise....
Fan-belt was to short and tight.
Changed to a loose belt
I do long time tests how lose a fan belt can be

While working, i found myself changing the
pitman-arm (looked BAD) and
draglink...wow - who welded that draglink???

And i found nice 6v 32/32 bulps in my garage.
Why didnt i install earlier

Going on with this speed, car will be all new in about a year.

Christoph, yes it has been a long time since we "rapped" on this site. See your posts once in awhile. Looks like you have done well in making you rig "new" again. But it is fun!!????? Right?? Anyway, it gives us "older" guys something to do.
