[QUOTE=David R.;1946053]I have a friend that says, "you can't have a bad day in a model A".[/QU

I totally agree with that! I love driving it to and from work. Makes the day that much more enjoyable.

You have to be careful, to and from work. Many insurance companies do not allow to and from work ! You’d hate to be in an accident with no coverage !

I have mine registered as a normal car, not a historical vehicle, so I have normal plates. Agreed value insurance, and they know it is driven regularly.

Here in Ohio this is all you are allowed to do with historical plates:
"vehicle must be more than 25 years old and be used solely as a collector's item for participation in club activities, exhibitions, tours, parades, and similar uses. The vehicle may be operated to and from a location where maintenance is performed"

In 1987 I enrolled in a Video Production class at the University of Cincinnati and part of our final grade (big part) was based on a video we each had to produce. I chose to video driving my '32 Ford Sedan from Blanchester, OH to Columbus, OH for the NSRA Street Rod Nationals.

I remember setting up my video camera along the route at different points along the 85 mile trip. I wish we had drones in those days! The video came out pretty nice considering what equipment I had available. It is on VHS. Got an A!

Thanks again, Pat

Pat, that is a great story! I'm not far from UC at all.
I bet that was fun, but hard dragging all the gear around. I used my phone and this tiny drone to film, then did all the edits on my phone haha. Isn't technology wonderful, when used with a 89 year old car

Nice! No need to guess what season it was!
Are there any comments about the lousy condition of the road? that car even at the low speed it was doing was bouncing. I wouldn't want to travel far or at highish speed on that.

It wasn't that bad.

Brand new leaf springs front and rear along with rebuilt shocks all around helps make the ride nice and comfy.

Those things would certainly make a difference and I guess modern cars handle it better than a 90 years old one.
