Valve clearance for 38 21 stud
I’ve read a lot on how to do valve but have not found anywhere we’re a person has given the correct settings ,these are non adjustable valves!have all the tools so going old school all I need is the lash settings. ,thanks
I think I have used .012 I and .014 on ex

My old Motors manual say's .012I&.014EX.

It really depends on the cam and the cam grinders specifications. If it is stock, then it is Fords specifications.

In .012 Ex .014 too tight just take time grinding the stem. I made a fixture just a piece
of pipe that fits the valve stem and clamped that to the side fine grinder wheel. As I grind and rotate the valve to the wheel just nipping it check & repeat. Lash too loose, then you have to reface the valve and or the seat, to set it deeper. |
