Tom , If you only changed the contacts,how did you get the staggered pins? I plan on using a regular 6V stop/tail light bulb in the lower socket. The upper socket will be turn signal only. The plans I am using,worked fine in 62,and I drove that car for 13 years.

I like the logolights (between the bumper) for turnsignals. But, since they are single wire, how do you get a good ground, especially on stainless bumpers? Will they ground on chrome?

Chrome and stainless will conduct electricity just fine.
