Oil Fill tube leaking
I found out my oil fill tube is very loose in the block and leaks oil. I tried sealing it with Permatex #2. That did not work. Are there better fill tubes available? Is there supposed to be baffles in the tube? What is the best fix for this problem?

Re: Oil Fill tube leaking
There are baffles in the tube. If yours are gone you need another tube. As for tightening it up in the block, the bottom can be expanded to make it a tight drive in fit.

Re: Oil Fill tube leaking
Thank you. The tinning idea is something I never thought of. I may try that today, while I wait for a new one from Snyders.

Re: Oil Fill tube leaking
Today I installed a Snyders made in USA oil fill tube. It fits much better, nice and tight. I had to drive it on with a piece of wood and a leather hammer.
