Default Dimmer switch in trucks

What year did Ford first mount the dimmer switch on
the floor in trucks ???

Trucks were usually after cars. My 42 sedan and 53 customline had the dimmer. Might have been as early as 42 for cars. Fat fender fords.

The wiring diagrams show it in 1938.

My '38 1/2T has a floor dimmer switch. My parts catalog shows them as '38-'48.
