Interesting Video - I had not seen that before. (By the way, I kept trying to turn up my volume)

I was expecting to see Laurel and Hardy behind the wheel in a few scenes!

So pardon my ignorance. That flywheel looked a lot different than mine. It had a big splined collar sticking out. What does the tranny side look like?

This video was offered for sale about ten years ago. It is still interesting every time I look at it.

Dvd still for sale for $9.99 plus $2.75 shipping. Not allowed to link ebay sales so just search for MODEL "A" FORD DVD, it will come up. Great video.

My father could remember, how people crowded the Ford dealer when they got the first model A. He said there was a group of people waiting out side the dealer before they opened the doors.

That is for the multiple disc clutch. You can see it just before the 10 min mark in the video.

Same here,,,, my Dad was 8 years old and remembered EXACTLY the new Ford unveiling at the local Ford dealership. His mother took Pop and his brothers down to see it, said it was better than going to the County Fair! Lots of excitement, people in awe of the 'car' (they only had a Tudor plus big cardboard cutouts of the other models) dealer was offering free coffee and doughnuts,,, was a great time.

The 28 cam had 5 bearings but one of my blocks has only 3. I wonder why? Seems to me 5 would be better. Any thoughts. Great video.

My 9-27-28 car has 5 bearings in the block, but the original 5 bearing cam has #2 and #4 bearings rough ground undersize. The factory was dropping the 5 bearing and going to the new 3 bearings cam, and I can only guess the factory ground down #2 and #4 to speed installation?
Otherwise, since the block has 5 bearings, why not keep using all 5 bearings until the supply of those cams runs out.
