1958 ford flywheel
I'm having trouble finding a ring gear for my 1958 ranchero 292. I ordered one from pioneer but it did not expand enough to go over the flywheel. Took it to 500 degrees. The ID of the ring is 13.352. Od of flywheel is 13.5. Do I have the wrong flywheel? If so where can I get one

Re: 1958 ford flywheel
FORD did not offer a RG for the 1958 292CI FM & CM AT FLYWHEEL. You had to buy the flywheel -
And you will find that unobtainium -

Re: 1958 ford flywheel
Here is an ad by DENNIS CARPENTER but this is for a 1958 FM or CM with an FE. The ad does not call out for an FE -

Re: 1958 ford flywheel
That's what I was wondering? I don't remember Ford selling a 6384 for AT flex-plates/flywheels but I may be mistaken. # should be EAA-6384-A for most MT flywheels that year.
