Does the seat back in a coupe or sport coupe have any clips or method that holds it in place to the seat frame??

Just checked, mine does not. The bottom of the seat back is loose and I didn’t see any indications of fasteners in the wood frame.

The upholstery on the seat back is nailed to the top of the wood across seat frame. The nail heads are covered by a piece of trim.
