Default 36 pickup Correct Trico wiper motor

What is the correct model Trico wiper motor for a 1936 pickup? Does it have any locating/stabilizing tabs or is it held by the tightness to the roof grommet?

My 1946 Trico catalog shows 1935-36 KSB-263-3. Don't know if that is an original or replacement number. The Ford parts book shows 50-17504.

I agree with Bob's Ford part number. The same unit fit 1935 and 1936 pickup and big trucks. It has a speed control adjustment included.

The wiper assembly is attached to the cab through the mounting hole for the arm. There's a shaft spacer on the inside and corresponding rubber grommet on the outside to match the slope of the roof. The metal cover washer helps lessen the rubber grommet distortion when the nut is tightened.

In case it helps, attached is a parts diagram of the wiper system.

Just for clarification Ford Part No. 50-17508 might be the wiper motor and 50-17504 might be the combined wiper motor and speed control assembly. It might be the other way around, I'm not sure.

There is a difference between the pickup and the car wiper motor shaft length.

There also is a spacer for the pickup wiper motor.

Thanx to all of you! I have a KSB 312 and I can see that I will be able to make it work.
