Default Front oil leak

I’m a late V-8 guy, so I don’t show up here. But the gent next door has a pair of restored Model A’s. He rolled up the driveway today and parked it running outside the garage. Then he waved me over to show me the new acquisition, a much older restoration. The running one showed an oil leak from the front seal ( a pretty good puddle) and he pointed it out and said “it only does that if I get on it a bit”. If it was a y block, I’d be looking at the road draft system before I replaced a seal that didn’t leak at low rpm. I don’t have a clue about a banger, but any thoughts from those who know?

Thanks.
