1930-31 Roadster Windshield Frame
I'm aware of the basic differences between the standard windshield frame, and the deluxe windshield frame, such as height differences, and finishes, but what I'd like to know is this. Is there a difference in the cross section of these frames? Or are they the same? What about placement of snaps along the top of the frames? Same, or different? Has anyone taken a standard windshield frame and cut it down to make a deluxe? What pros and cons has anyone experienced? Perhaps this might be a question for Marco.

Re: 1930-31 Roadster Windshield Frame
The tubing is the same. The top tubing is quite different than that used on the bottom and ends but that applies to both frames. The fastener locations are different along the top. Also note the top is slightly longer (3/16"?) on the standard frame. This is because the frames are wider at the top than the bottom so as the frame gets taller the distance between the ends increases. If I recall correctly the "L" brackets which are spot welded into the top frame also extend farther down into the ends as the pivot stud is farther from the top.
