Default 37 Windshield

My 37 windshield is giving me fits ....trying to remove old dried up rubber gasket from outer groove. I've done this before, but never had this much trouble. Anyone have a method that actually worked. Thanks .

I know what you are going through. All the picks and scrapers you have, then make some.

It is important that all the old stuff is out. You will be glad when you install the new gasket.

Try heating it with a hair drier. Just enough heat to get
the job done, as you don't want to over heat the glass.

Good luck with whatever solution you find. I gave up, since the frame was rusty also. My solution was to make a completely new frame from stainless, and change the rubber design. A huge amount of effort, but worth it in the end. And it opens and shuts with no leaks!! pm me if you want more info.
