Default Cam Degree wheel setup for V8 flathead

I've been shopping for a degree wheel to check my cam, but have not seen anything size wise to fit either the crankshaft, or the '40 fan bolt pattern. Any recommendations?

In most cases there will be a small amount of fab work to get it bolted to the crank, and fab up a pointer for wheel.

There should be someone here that can walk u through it. In chassis will also add to the difficulty.

This one seems to have a ton of fitting options.

I bought a speedway one that came with adapters that fit it to flathead crankshaft--- not the best accuracy as checked on rotary table--- the "printing"was a little off center, but not much more than the width of the printed line

Kurt, the only one I could find at Speedway that fit a flathead was the Offenhauser one that had the crank hub part of the wheel. Flathead crank is about 1.310" What did you find?

Why not just bolt it to the end of the crank? A double belt pulley would need to be removed, but if you have a 99A-style single belt type of pulley should sit right on the end.

my mistake---it was summit racing, it was on sale when I got my 6V optima, summit #SUM-G1057-16, it came with bushings that fit the crank bolt , I added a flat washer and it bolts right to end of crankshaft of A, V8

You run the chance of it loosening when you turn it backwards.

Exactly, that is why I am trying to avoid mounting directly on the end of the crank. I think ive got it figured out. I'm going to mount to the 4 bolts for the 39 -40 fan. I can turn the crank with the center bolt.
