Question Adjusting Parking Brake

My parking brake needs adjusting. Even when you fully squeeze the lever the 'tooth' is still engaged. I took out the cotter pins and removed the 'cam' with the tooth on it so right now I have no e brake. How do I adjust the emergency brake??

Thank you!

Sounds like you might have to "tweek" the dog leg bend in the skinny rod in the handle so it will lift the toothed cam higher.
