Default Rea engine mounting bolts

What size are the bolts that go between the frame bracket into the clutch housing at the back of the engine. I'm working through a series of bodge jobs from a previous owner. I've taken out 7/16 " x 1.25" and they're clearly the wrong bolts. Are they half inch?

Bob, your dimensions are correct however isn't the part # actually A-21207 (Flywheel Housing to Engine Rear Support Bolt)?? All of my PPL books confirm this (...unless I am mistaken which is highly possible!!).

Brent, It looks like they changed the part number. The number I got came out of the December 1932 book but when I looked in my earlier books it shows the number
you posted.

Interesting. I will add both of those numbers to my list and if the archives ever re-opens, I will check them to see if there is an EI on it as to why the number changed. (FWIW, I did check my July '31 PPL and the number is the same throughout all 4 years. Maybe it was a typo on the July '32 PPL??

Ford did that a lot. If parts were superseded or obsoleted, the replacement part would be the only one listed in later publications. Ford added different types of fasteners and related parts as they were changed or added to the system. The Green Bible or the 1928 through 1948 Ford Chassis Parts & Accessories Catalog would have been the last parts book that was published for the early cars in November of 1950.

The best source for new hardware reproductions is Third Gen Automotive. Mike took over Roy Nacewicz's early Ford hardware business.

If a person can still source a part with the OEM number then it makes life easier but if not, the lastest change part will do in a pinch.
