Default Floor jack craps out after 40+ years

Well, it finally happened after 40+ years. My Sears 2 1/2 ton jack eased down and can't be pumped up enough to slip under my 35 pickup, and hold it up.

I checked the hydraulic fluid and it looks to be okay, just down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Will purchase and add fluid tomorrow to see if that helps. I was just fixing to stick floor jacks under it when it started down. Fortunately no injury or damage. Just a little damn language. LOL Any comments/suggestions considered.
