Strombergs 97 Thread size

What's the thread size inside the fuel inlet hole in the Stromberg 97 body? Got one that the threads are stripped.

Common deal. Some of the rebuilders sell threaded inserts. I used to make them for my carbs. I think I used 9/16 nf bolts so half the work was done. I drilled and tapped them to whatever the threads were stock. I put the inserts in deep so the gasket still sealed on the housing and not the insert. I did not tap the housing all the way thru so the insert would bind up on the unfinished threads. They always worked pefectly.

To answer your question, those threads are 7/16-24.
I have inserts.
