I need a pair of front brake operating pins to complete the repair of the front brakes on my 31 AA. These pins run vertically through the king pin, the bottom end sits in a cup on the actuating wedge at bottom of the backing plate. The top end rests under the brake actuating lever at the top of the backing plate.
The bottom end of my pin has a ball on it, the top end is rounded some but has no ball. Model A brake operating pins have a ball on both ends. I'm guessing my pins are worn. The length of my pin is 8 & 7/8", much longer than the Model A pins. Please see the 3 attachments of what my pin looks like.
Can someone provide a photo of what a good 30/31 AA operating pin looks like?
Next, does anyone have a pair of serviceable brake operating pins to sell, knows where to find them or has the Ford part # for these pins? None of the online Model A supply houses carry these.
