There was one for a '55 on eBay but it was priced at $59 which is a little steep to my thinking, more than I'm willing to pay.

Here is a picture of the Dash Panel from the original Sales Brochure showing the Blanking Plate on an Australian 1955 Ford Mainline Coupe Utility.

Dash Panel on Australian 1956 Ford Mainline Coupe Utility showing Blanking Plate for Clock. Note that in Australia, our local 1956 Ford Customline Sedan and Coupe Utilities never got the new Dash and Instrument Panel like they received in the USA. However, you can see that they did add the Dished Steering Wheel for this upgraded 1956 model.

Ford Australia never released the true 1957 Fords, but merely added the chrome trim from the 1956 Ford Fairlane on the carried over 1955/1956 bodies. You can see the trim on the top of the fenders in this picture, compared to the previous two pictures. While the 1955 Ford Dash was carried over, the seats got two colours to spruce up the Coupe Utility models.

Just had to add the final year of the Australian 1958 Ford Mainline Coupe Utility. While Ford Australia carried over the 1955/1956 body once again for the Sedan and Coupe Utility, finally, they got an all new Dash, but it was different to the ones in the 1956 USA Fords? Go figure?

I guess that explains the steering wheel in this car with the round delete plate. Someone must have swapped seats somewhere along the way. Now how do we explain the speedometer needle position when the cars appears to be parked?

Gear shift and turn signal lever position for a right hand drive car?

Canadian RHD Export columns were (with some modifications) used on RHD Australian versions of the North American 55 &56 Fords. We made do with all your leftovers.
