Late 1931 Closed Cab body question...
The CC-D2 and CC-D3 were adaptod for use with the Deluxe Pickup body starting in May 1931 and utilized thru March 1932. By this Ford had to make some changes to the CC-D2 and CC-D3 cabs by installing a heavier pillar at the rear corner of each cab to receive the bolts of the new body side panels. It is not known at this time if just those cabs that were specific for the Deluxe Pickup bodies had the heavier pillars installed or did all cabs have the heavier pillars installed no matter what the end product would be?
Thanks. Pluck WOW...sorry for the large fount! Last edited by Steve Plucker; 08-01-2018 at 10:49 AM. |

Pluck, The Deluxe pickup I had just had a wooden stiffener curved to the body that the bolts went through at the cab corner. Assembled August 31.
