Refurbished early generator cutout
City:
FREDERICKSBRG
State:
Va
Price:
$60
This may or may not be a factory cutout, but it looks just like the cutout shown in Bruce McCalley's book on a 1919 car. Regardless, it is an early, period correct cutout. I have serviced it to include the following:
-Cover removed and internals cleaned with electrical contact cleaner. -Air gap checked -Points dressed and gap adjusted -point closure voltage adjusted using a variable power supply and voltmeter. -Repainted. -New terminal post insulator made. Original brass hardware cleaned and polished. -Retested after final assembly. Price is $60 plus shipping from Fredericksburg, Virginia For more information on how I refurbish cutouts, check out my youtube video. The video is oriented towards model A cutouts, but they all work the same way. https://youtu.be/rnuukBeJ6Zs |
