Ted, I don't believe that is a factory hole.

Suspect added switch for fogs, tec. Nice looking dash. Hope the car is equal. Suspect Pillips head screw is not correct.

Looks like maybe a screw between the speedo and wiper knob. Could be a small grommet. Is yours a 122" wb tonner pickup? Seems the 60 mph speedometer usually in a tonner.

I have had a number of one tons and haven't seen that hole. Maybe about the size of a cigarette lighter? That would be my guess. How 'bout some pictures of this truck?

Looks like a nice one! What part of the country is that? Do you have the rear fenders?

Hi Ted,
I had a 42 1/2 ton for my first Ford. It was X military. It had the same hole same place and same size. My column lock was trashed so I put a aftermarket ign. switch in it. That's on nice and very rare truck. Those die cast ford emblems on the hood are priceless, one year only and it was a short year do to the war. Nobody to my knowledge is or has ever reproduced them. Hope to see and hear more about it.
Tim
