Default 1955 Thunderbird

Can anyone tell me what finish the heater box under the dash should be painted?Should it match the dash? The 5" hose from the engine to water pump, should it be painted engine color or not painted at all?

For the heater box, I've heard the stuff called "camera case" black before......I used the refinish paint for the black crinkle MOPAR valve covers on mine. Try some on a test piece, it takes a heavy application to get a more textured finish.
