Default torque tube seal and bearing race

What direction does the bearing race and the seal go for removal? Out the front or back? I have everything out including the drive shaft.

They both go out the front. Place the drive shaft vertical on a block of wood on the floor with the spline end up. Place a 1&1\16" six-point socket over the spline. Put the torque tube over it and bounce it several times. This will force the seal and the bearing race out. Best to hold a rag over the end to catch them as they come out.

When you reinstall the race you will see a dimple on the outside, this must align with a recess in the tube neck to locate the race . I know you know this but just in case .

I assume you already have the snap ring out. Not easy the first time. Very easy the sixth time. We had problems.

Face the seal so it keeps the oil in the trans, not the rear end.
