30 'A' Sedan regulator to glass channel
I recently got a 30 Model A tudor sedan that was somewhat incomplete. Some of the things I had to get were regulators and glass retaining channels. It seems like there is a lot of play when putting the channel on the regulator. It doesn't need to be slid on from the end, it will just go on anywhere. Is this normal? Or is there something missing?

Re: 30 'A' Sedan regulator to glass channel
Here are some pictures that I hope will explain what I'm talking about. The black metal part is the glass channel and the shiny metal part is the window regulator. The wheel of the regulator is not a very good fit in the channel. Is this normal? |

Re: 30 'A' Sedan regulator to glass channel
It has been a while since I did mine and I thought it would only go in an end.
Mine was an original channel. Others with more knowledge may chime in. I found this in Snyders catalog

Re: 30 'A' Sedan regulator to glass channel
I bought window channels from Little Dearborn in Minneapolis, and the fit to the original regulator was excellent.
I wonder which part, or maybe both, is wrong to give you so much play. Last edited by Tom Wesenberg; 08-04-2019 at 09:53 AM. |

If that does not work out you could get a good original set from Bert’s model a store.
