Several people have asked about Mallory distributors. I don't know about different models mentioned like, as I recall YA, YL etc. The distributor with the metal tag #2301105 fits the model A Ford. Most all parts are available on Amazon from Summit Racing. The cap is MSD 271 and rotor MSD 307, if you look up either one a list will be provided for associated parts including a kit. As you may know in order to use this distributer a new top shaft must be used with the slot on one end slotted in the center, the distributor rotated 180 degrees to prevent manifold heat damage to the wire terminal and the spark plug wires 2 & 3 swapped to correct for the 180 degree rotation. The top shaft will have to be machined as there is no part like this available - that I know of.
