'33/'34 Sedan Delivery pass side tail light bracket.
I saw somewhere that there was a man making right side tail light brackets for '33/'34 sedan deliveries.
I think the post was 4 or 5 years ago. Does anyone know where one can be purchased ? Thank you. |

You would also need the bracket that goes INSIDE the sheet metal that the tail light stand bolts to that anchors it to the structure and not just the sheet metal. I used to have a 34 SD and am familiar with what you are looking for. Good luck, I had originals.

Here is a picture of a 1934 Ford Sedan Delivery, showing the right hand taillight bracket that you are chasing. Hope that this picture helps. |

Thank you for posting that.
I am pretty sure I will need to fabricate one. I did one for a '36 sedan delivery years ago and this one looks similar. |

Was the original a formed stamping or a casting? I ask as most of the various long-neck commercial/big truck rear lamp brackets (station wagon, panel delivery, pickup, etc.) were castings. |

I don't have an answer as this car (at the 2005 Western National Meet) was the first 33/34 Delivery I have encountered with the right hand taillight. The only other delivery I personally that has crossed my path was some 45 plus years ago and it was a "basket case" and that was being kind!!! I would "assume", as you have stated, they would have been "cast" pieces originally...though 2 years later, we had a right hand taillight bracket made for our 37 Station Wagon, he used the left hand bracket (which is cast) and used it to make the mirror image. He made it out of steel BUT duplicated the "cast" imperfect finish perfectly (isn't that a pun or something? Imperfect perfectly) anyway Sorry for my ignorance I'm just a student learning what I can from the "Zen Masters" Rehor, Kubarth, Rodgers |

Here's a '33-'34 station wagon lamp bracket, definitely cast iron.

Re: '33/'34 Sedan Delivery pass side tail light bracket.
Looks similar to my 40 wagon brackets (which have 01A 79xxx part numbers on back of mounting) I think the 40 version holds the light out farther then the pictured brackets.
My 34 sedan delivery had cast brackets that more resembled the shape of the 40 sedan delivery brackets like those pictured on the car. The 34s I had were OEM. |

Re: '33/'34 Sedan Delivery pass side tail light bracket.
Wouldn't the Australian, New Zealand and England sedan deliveries have right side tail lamp brackets?

They would have had but scarce as horse feathers.
Doubt any came to Australia, maybe possibly a couple to NZ but none known to have survived. Not sure about England. |

I made 2 sets, one for the current '33 project and one for the next as soon as it gets here.
