George -Who is AI that has the better bearings?

One of the problems with using inserts from other engines is once the block is bored to fit those inserts it might not be possible to change to other types, many different inserts have been used in "A" engines, the "MG" inserts happen to use the same bore as "AER" inserts ( http://antiqueenginerebuilding.com/ )--the international and onan ones a different bore--I remember from working on early MG that many times the insert would be cracked through the steel backing---only engine I saw it on more than once, never liked the idea of using them as a good choice for other applications
