Default tIGER TIMER

Can any body tell me anything about the tiger timers i just picked one up new old stock and wanted to install it on my t any good or bad experiances with them ? Thanks steve

15,000,000+ Model T's came from the factory with a roller type timer. I go back and forth between New Day and roller type. Clean the contacts, oil, install, check timing, keep lubed and clean out every so often. The only drawback, is if the front cover is not centered over the cam shaft. Changes the firing between the 4 cylinders. You can have cylinders firing early and late.

An "era" original Tiger timer has a maroon colored insulator ring whereas the more recent reproduction has a more orange colored ring - easy way to distinguish.
