Default Interchangeable horn bells

Does anyone know if the horn bells are interchangeable to any degree among the five manufacturers? Like if I find a good GIM motor with a damaged bell, could I match it to a S-W bell that had a bad motor? I've heard the frames are different widths but I can't find a reference on it.

I tried to search for prior discussions of this, but there wasn't much signal among the noise.

I had a few left over parts for a horn and soon found out that I had a mix of Sparton and Stewart-Warner parts. I was going to rebuild it but then found that the motors didn't work and lost interest. But the one horn bell did fit both motors. Ed
